Château de Saint Christeau – Maison Esquerré Bounoure founded in 1867.

Founded in 1867, Maison Esquerré Bounoure has long been established in Auch since its origin. It is in the heart of this country of Haut Armagnac that four generations have succeeded in producing a high-quality Armagnac, which has made the reputation of the House and the region. It is to this line of distillers that we owe today the rare pleasure of being able to taste exclusive vintages produced over two hundred years of history. This history is the wealth of the Esquerré Bounoure house, an establishment capable, without denying its roots, of turning resolutely towards the world and the future. This change, part of the continuity of craftsmanship, is confirmed today with the arrival at the head of the company of Michel Miclo, owner of Maison Goudoulin.Michel Miclo, like the Esquerré Bounoure family, has long been involved in the production of premium spirits. Like the founders of Saint Christeau, their know-how is recognized and rewarded with numerous medals. An evolution that guarantees the continuity of a history and perpetuates the prestigious activity of the secular house. To taste a Saint Christeau Armagnac is to discover a new pleasure linked to the rare tastes of a precious eau-de-vie as well as to the delicate notion of the time that has brought it to us.

Exceptionnal vintage – 1st vintage from the vineyard of Jeanne Goudoulin.
« Armagnac in the beautiful amber hue with mahogany shades, brilliant and clear. The very complex nose opens with sweet notes tinged with honey, then the rancio grows on dried fruits like the fig to finish with a delicate leather. On the palate the attack is discreet with a nice breadth, the rancio expresses itself fully with an impressive length. This Armagnac remains lively despite its great age, its complex aromatic palette and its length make it a perfect companion after meals, the cigar does not scare it! »
