BORDENEUVE

Château de Bordeneuve with its own vineyard ideally located on the tawny sands of the Bas-Armagnac, has its cellars on beaten earth and uses its own decades-old alambic. All of our estate’s production is exclusively for Bas-Armagnac, the pride of our terroir. Armagnac , the oldest eau-de-vie in France In 1310, Maître Vital Dufour, a monk living in Eauze extolled the 40 virtues of Armagnac in an opus still preserved by the Vatican library today. We continue this long tradition today and still use the historic grape varieties of Ugni Blanc and Baco. An authentic savoir faire Our Armagnacs are the result of a long work of craftsmanship, from the growing of the vine to the bottling, including the harvest and the continuous distillation in our copper alambic

The ageing: Whilst ageing, our Armagnac takes on its flavours and aromas. Its subtle perfumes come from the marriage of grape spirit and the oak tannins.

The vintages All of our Armagnac vintages mature separately in the obscurity of our cellars which, over time, has allowed us to build up a unique collection of vintages available for sale today.

The cellar master He is like the conductor of an orchestra who organises the symphony of fl avours. He watches over the careful ageing of the vintages and it is him alone that knows how to fi nd the perfect balance for the blends, knowing which combination of different vintages will give our Armagnacs their pedigree.
