The Saint-Aubin estate is located in the Gers, near Eauze, capital of Bas-Armagnac.

It is a certain idea of good living, the terroir and a pronounced taste for challenges, which have brought Alsace and Gascony together. The Westphal family succumbed to the charms of this other wine region, nicknamed “Little Tuscany”. Valleys and cypresses, soft light, epic stories, like that of the Three Musketeers, with the Pyrenees as a backdrop.

The Saint-Aubin vineyard is quite simply the ideal setting for cultivating vines, in search of excellence for its Bas-Arrmagnac and its Côtes de Gascogne.Armagnac de Saint-Aubin is produced in the most emblematic and prestigious area of Gascony: Bas-Armagnac.

The grapes pressed immediately after the harvest undergo natural vinification. The addition of sulfur is totally prohibited. The wine is distilled in a still called armagnacais. The eau-de-vie is packaged in oak barrels for ageing.Once matured, the cellar master proceeds with the blending.

Its chromatic palette oscillates between a coppery orange to an old amber gold. With a tasty expression the age 4 palys a delicious range going from a pastry register (frangipane, tonga bean) to the exalctation of sweet spices (cinnamon powder, licorice stick). We particulary appreciate the silky texture of this eaux-de-vie wich reveals the fragrances of stewed fruit supported by a toasted finish.
